Dr. James M. Cottom, of Sarasota Orthopedic Associates, will be featured on ABC 7 noon news.  He will be discussing recent advances in anlke replacement - specifically The STAR Ankle.  The STAR Ankle is the only mobile bearing implant approved by the FDA, for joint replacement for the entire ankle, which does not require the use of bone cement.  The greatest advantage of the STAR Ankle is to preserve range of motion for the patient.
